The whole metro, TMB and FGC alike, is in zone 1, so a one-zone ticket is all you need to get around by metro. These are integrated ATM tickets, not metro-only ones, and they are loaded onto the T-mobilitat: the personal plastic card costs €4.50, the phone version €1.00 and the anonymous cardboard card €1.00. TMB only publishes the Hola Barcelona Travel Card price as “from €12.50”; we do not give the price for each duration because we have not been able to verify it. The single ticket valid on L6, L7, L8 and L12 is published by the ATM: €2.90 for one zone. It is a non-integrated ticket, valid only on that operator’s network: it gives no change to the metro or buses and is not valid at Aeroport T1 or T2.

Tickets for more than one zone are for journeys that leave zone 1; you do not need them for the metro.
Metro to the airport: which ticket is valid
At the Aeroport T1 and Aeroport T2 stations on L9 Sud there is no supplement to add: the T-casual, T-grup, T-familiar, T-escolar and single ticket are simply not valid. You need the airport ticket (€5.90) or a ticket that covers those stations: the T-usual, the T-jove, the T-dia (one outward and one return trip at most) or the Hola Barcelona Travel Card (outward and return). The other L9 Sud stations are ordinary zone 1 stations. More on metro to the airport.
